As some of you know, my mom ("Nana") was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease earlier this year. While her early symptoms are mild, she quickly learned that by working to strengthen her body and mind now can help slow down the progression of the disease. She was introduced to an amazing facility that is less than five minutes from her house that has created a daily community for her called InMotion. She participates in activities and classes that they offer completely free of charge thanks to donors that help keep their welcoming doors open.
The annual Pals In Motion event supports InMotion, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to help people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) feel better every day. Funds raised from this event fund life-changing physical wellness, creative movement, arts, education, support and research programs to our Parkinson’s community – all offered FREE OF CHARGE to people with PD and their care partners.
