I am excited to be participating in the 8th Annual Pals In Motion event on September 15.
Earlier this year, our mom Stefanie was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Initially, we noticed that she was having trouble walking and standing. Over the last few months, she has developed a tremor and her mobility has become very limited. As part of her treatment plan, physicians encouraged us to enroll her at In Motion. In Motion offers programming only for those with PD and includes everything from book clubs to fitness classes. Everyone has been so kind, easy to work with and incredibly patient. In Motion is unique in that they don’t charge any membership fees, they run the organization based solely on donations! We saw the 5k and saw it as a chance to give back!!
The annual Pals In Motion event supports InMotion, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to help people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) feel better every day. Funds raised from this event fund life-changing physical wellness, creative movement, arts, education, support and research programs to our Parkinson’s community – all offered FREE OF CHARGE to people with PD and their care partners.
